Savasana Series: Progressive Relaxation

This Savasana is a great entry point for easing excess tension and helping us release our body weight onto the ground.

We'll begin with a progressive relaxation technique to help release surface tension before moving deeply into the breath to allow, soften, and let go.

Progressive relaxation is a simple technique in which we squeeze and release the body's larger muscles, one group at a time. It can be used within any of this week's practices as a way to "let go" of unnecessary gripping and clenching in order to settle into rest more quickly.
