Tired & Wired? Reset with This Grounding Flow with Light Weights
Spring is a beautiful, tumultuous time. A brutiful time.
After a stretch of dormancy, nature is coming back to life. Since we aren’t in nature—we are nature—it’s a time of great renewal for us too. The thing is that rejuvenating at this level requires a surge of energy.
While uplifting, energizing, and hopeful, spring’s rigorous momentum can also be overwhelming. With this expanding energy, we can be pushed—even dragged—forward very quickly. We can be enthusiastic about the sunny days, warming temperatures, and colorful blossoms… while simultaneously feeling exhausted from the oscillating rains, winds, and weather fluctuations. It takes a lot of energy to move through transitions of change and growth.
Still, we can trust that there is an energy under the surface that consistently, annually, will bring nature—and us—to blossom… even when and where we wouldn’t expect we’d have the potential to bloom.
Our practice is here to help us harmonize with the season. This week, I’m sharing a 20-minute practice to guide us in moving intentionally and mindfully. We’ll use light weights (1–5 pounds), or two blocks, to feel more grounded, so we feel strong and steady enough to blossom—stabilizing our body and opening us to the creative and courageous flow of expansion.
